Taipei ? Vertically integrated textile manufacturer Everest Textile Co has outlined plans to invest in 100 circular knitting machines this year as it looks to significantly expand its presence in the knitted fabric sector.

Traditionally known for its high quality, functional wovens, Everest, which already supplies fabrics to some of the world?s leading sports and leisure wear brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma and Patagonia, believes that the move could boost its net income by nearly 90 per cent this year from NT$229.73 million (US$7.62 million) last year.
