Hawick - Historic Borders knitwear manufacturer Peter Scott is to close down its production operations next month after a restructuring plan failed to save the 150 year old firm.
The company will shed more than 50 production jobs with around nine office and warehouse staff retained with the intention of outsourcing the ongoing product lines.
