ALEXANDER CITY - Fruit of the Loom is to relocate more than 270 knitwear and lingerie manufacturing industry jobs from Alexander City and Monroeville in Alabama to its headquarters in Kentucky in an attempt to "streamline processes and control costs."

The move involves 58 Russell Corporation employees in Monroeville and 218 workers at Vanity Fair Brands in Alexander City.
