{besps}ss/shima2{/besps}Wakayama - Shima Seiki will be present at this year's ITMA Asia + CITME 2010 exhibition with a representative cross-section of its technology, ranging from conventional shaping and intarsia machines to its latest high-spec WholeGarment knitting machines.

Showcasing a wide range of gauges from coarse to ultrafine, of the nine Shima Seiki flat knitting machines scheduled to be shown in Shanghai this June, at least eight will be new exhibits, shown for the first time at an international exhibition.

The most recent research and development work at Shima has focused on using the downturn in the global economy as a springboard for new developments. The company says it has been busy taking advantage of the slowdown by preparing for the upcoming market recovery and the anticipated upswing in machine demand. With these new machines Shima Seiki says it will showcase not only its technological strength but also its readiness in meeting new demand.
