Shanghai ? Invista has begun construction on new hexamethylene diamine (HMD) and nylon 6,6 polymer plants at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) in China, which as part of a US$1 billion project, represents the largest capital investments in the company?s history.
The facilities are a key part of Invista?s plans for integrated nylon 6,6 facilities in the China market as it looks to as it looks to meet the growing demand for products using the fibre such as hosiery and other apparel.
