Dornstetten - Germany's Memminger will have a range of its yarn feeding, control systems and lubrication technology for knitting machines on display at ITMA Asia. The company's latest storage feeder, the MSF 3 ATC, is based on the MSF 3 CAN with 57V DC and is fitted with the Active Tension Control (ATC) sensor for controlling yarn tension. Used together with the GTN controller unit it enables the central setting of the yarn tension on single units, groups of units or on all the units together.

Stronger sales drive Textured Jersey

Colombo – Textured Jersey, Sri Lanka's largest circular knitter, has posted a 63 per cent increase in profits after tax, boosted by increases in turnover from its recent acquisitions. Total profit after tax was 2.2 billion rupees in the year to March on the back of a 30 per cent increase in turnover to 17.8 billion rupees.

Montreal – Gildan Activewear Inc. is to pay US$55 million to acquire 100 per cent of Peds Legwear. Peds is a Montreal-based marketer of high-end socks and legwear products, including ladies no-show liners, socks and sheer, and therapeutic hosiery sold mainly under the Peds and MediPeds brands to US and Canadian retailers.
