Wakayama - Computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will exhibit at the upcoming Knit World 2015, the 21st International Exhibition in Ludhiana, India in January.

On display will be the SSR series computerized flat knitting machine in 7G. SSR is described as a workhorse machine that features the latest computerized flat knitting technology. One of the key selling points of this machine is its cost-performance ratio, a factor which is bound to increase its popularity for those volume knitters operating in the Indian market.

Also on display is the latest intarsia machine MACH2SIR123 with full intarsia capability up to 40 intarsia carriers, which offers tremendously high productivity as noted by its ?MACH? name.

With the 40 intarsia carriers, MACH2SIR features the largest number of intarsia feeders available combined with maximum knitting speed of 1.4 meters per second and the new R2CARRIAGE System which achieves quicker carriage returns after each course, dramatically improving efficiency and productivity in intarsia production.

As Shima Seiki explains: ?Previously, programming for knitting with so many intarsia carriers would have been overwhelming, but that issue is solved with the latest automatic yarn carrier setting software on SDS-ONE APEX3 design system.?

Demonstrations will also be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of the company?s ?Total Knitting System? concept. With comprehensive support of the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

Photo-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the need for actual sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost while increasing presentation quality in the sampling process.

Products can be checked using 3D simulation as well, such as 3D modeling, 3D fitting and 3D mapping. APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing.

The exhibition will take place from 4-7 January, Dana Mandi, Bahadur Ke Road, Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana, India.
