Wakayama - computerized knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will exhibit at the Première Vision show in Paris in September where it will once again participate in the “Knitwear Solutions” category for the flatbed knit sector as sole machine technologist, following its successful participation in past editions.

Also noteworthy for this edition is the adoption of knitted one-piece dresses using the company’s exclusive Wholegarment knitting technology as official uniforms for the exhibition’s hostesses.

On display will be an updated version of the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system demonstrating its comprehensive support of the entire process of knitwear production from planning and design to production and sales promotion, as well as its capability for Virtual Sampling.

Ultra-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process while enhancing presentation quality. Meanwhile, 3D simulation allows evaluation of knitwear from all angles while 3D modeling, 3D mapping and 3D fitting simulation of multiple coordinate items are possible as well. A

PEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, pile knitting, weaving and printing.

Shima Seiki will also exhibit knitwear produced on its latest line of computerized knitting machines, including Wholegarment knitwear that is produced in one entire piece without seams and features superior fit, comfort and draping characteristics.

Brand new proposals in textiles will also be presented through samples knitted on Shima Seiki’s new SRY machine that is capable of producing unique hybrid knit fabrics that cross-over into the realm of wovens.
