Chemnitz/Cazzago San Martino - A year of its acquisition was set in motion, Terrot Italy says increasing sales and a strong order book illustrate the successful integration of Pilotelli Macchine Tessili into its operations. Terrot Italy acquired Pilotelli in May 2014 following protracted takeover negotiations. Since then, representatives from both companies have worked to resurrect the Italian machine builder with the the first machine shipments taking under the new ownership taking place in October 2014, as reported by Knitting Trade Journal.

According to Terrot increasing sales numbers and a strong order book have illustrated customers’ confidence. With sales of its high-end machines performing well, Terrot managing director, Andreas von Bismarck told Knitting Trade Journal that the strategic thinking behind the acquisition was the company's highly regarded single jersey technology. Specifically, Terrot was attracted by the JVCE single jersey group of machines, which are equipped with an open fabric takedown system for the production of jersey, fleece and piquet fabrics.
