HAWICK - Reports from BBC News suggest that Paris luxury fashion business Chanel is planning to expand the workforce at Barrie Knitwear to meet growing customer demand. Chanel purchased Barrie Knitwear in Hawick in 2012, securing 176 jobs at the firm, where it has since taken on an additional 60 workers.
