gildanMontreal -- Gildan Activewear Inc. is to spend US$20 million to expand one if its key US distribution centres.

The company said that the expansion at its Eden, North Carolina site is aimed at meeting demand in the US wholesale-distributor channel and further reducing distribution costs. It plans to begin the project this year.
