Paris - Premiere Vision has announced the launch of a new trade show for sportswear in the American market.

To be held in Portland, Oregon, the first Premiere Vision Sport Show is scheduled for August 14 -15, running alongside the existing Materials Show.

Premiere Vision has labeled the vent the 'Sportswear Silicon Valley” and is designed to address the growing demand of new textile materials in the sports industry and sports growing influence of athleticwear.

The company also recently announced the introduction of the Sport & Tech sector during the Paris edition of Première Vision in September.

“When you see the maturity of the sportswear market, you can see a great opportunity for growth, and we thought it was the right time for Première Vision,” said Guglielmo Olearo, Première Vision’s director of international shows. “We are creating a show in terms of product that is extremely useful for the buyer, designer, product manager and others who are developing a new collection every six months.”
