Hamburg - Non-profit organisation Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) has launched a new standard for sustainable cashmere in response to the increasing demand for transparency and corporate responsibility, as well as the welfare of the cashmere goats.

Developed in close collaboration with animal-rights specialists and independent cashmere-production experts, The Good Cashmere Standard aims to improve supply chain on a number of different levels, covering both the welfare of animals, the protection of nature and the working conditions of farmers and farm workers.
