Fabdesigns reopens innovation lab for technical knits
Innovative textile engineering company Fabdesigns, Inc., which specialises in engineering knitted fabrics for apparel and footwear has reopened its textile laboratory to offer consulting and development proof of concepts in footwear, technical, industrial and advanced performance knitted textiles.?
Teijin has announced the development of a new meta-linked high-performance polyamide fibre, which can be used in protective clothing, and reportedly, offers the highest level of heat resistance, combined with high-performance dye fastness.
The winner of the USA region of the 2013/14 International Woolmark Prize has been has been announced as Joseph Altuzarra, who will compete alongside finalists from Australia, China, India and Europe during Milan Fashion Week in February next year for the chance to win a AU$100,000 prize and the opportunity for his deigns to be stocked in major fashion retailers.
