bangladeshDhaka - Exports of knitwear from Bangladesh have surged after European and US retailers switched orders from their traditional Sri Lankan suppliers ahead of the latter?s loss of preferential duty concessions.

Earlier this year, Sri Lanka cut its export targets for 2010 by US$1 billion because of concerns over a dramatic fall in overseas orders for many knitwear and other garment manufacturers.
