Paris - Visitors to the upcoming Interfiliere show in Paris will be the first to glimpse what has been labeled a two-year, "revolutionary", legwear project developed by Italy's Duelegs.

Part of the Gambetti Group, a company boasting a long history in the legwear sector, Duelegs has chosen the Paris fair to launch the unique garment which it says is "destined to become the fashion of the future". Tightings, made using the finest quality, cutting edge yarns from Fulgar and Lycra, are described as the perfect combination of the latest generation seamless tights and the classic leggings.

Tightings are a technical innovation that has inspired a new product category, the company says, adding that it is made using an exclusive patent pending technology by Duelegs based on a development of the classic hosiery knitting machine, adapted to create garments that can be worn as outerwear.

For the launch, Duelegs has created a collection made exclusively with Fulgar yarn and Lycra stretch to provide maximum comfort and fit.

The initial collection will include four different specifications, each featuring a high-performance yarn by Fulgar:

  • Bianca with Nanofibra by Fulgar, with a thermal effect
  • Celeste with EVO by Fulgar, with an ultra-light effect
  • Rossana with EMANA by Fulgar, with a Kinesio Taping effect
  • Viola with Q-SKIN by Fulgar, with a skincare effect

According to the company, a total absence of seams on the legs and the presence of Lycra stretch fibre enables the garments to embrace the female silhouette, enhancing and emphasising the wearer's shape, bringing out the best of her natural appeal, with a light compression and reshaping effect where necessary.

“It's a significant challenge for us, one that means breaking out of the world of female legwear to enter the much wider sportswear world, which has experienced exponential growth in recent years," said William Gambetti, CEO of Gambetti Group. "We've invested two years of our energy in research and development, to the point where we are now ready to launch Tightings and we have chosen, also for this important project, a qualified partner such as Fulgar, a company that always supports us with its innovative yarns. We are optimistic that our innovation will shake up the legwear market, which has long remained static."

“We're happy that we are a partner in this project. Tightings is an evolution of the tights concept, creating a highly contemporary appeal that transforming what used to be a simple accessory into a garment that can also be worn as outerwear, providing the most effective response to every woman's needs and desires,” added Alan Garosi, Marketing Manager of Fulgar.
