Munich - The upcoming View Premium Selection event, a preview show for January's Munich Fabric Start exhibition, has been cancelled following concerns over a rise in coronavirus cases in Germany.

In a statement, organisers said that political regulations in Bavaria in the light of an increase in infection rates limited conditions for events with more than 1,000 people. "Due to the currently strong increase in the infection rates in Munich, the Preview Textile Show planned for 30 November to 1 December must now be canceled as a precaution. The new measures are expected to come into force in Munich in the coming days, which would lead to very short notice changes. Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH therefore feels its responsibility to offer all those involved a planning security at the earliest possible time. We now deeply regret the circumstances and the short-term cancellation, but the health and safety of all show participants always comes first."

Organisers are now working towards Munich Fabric Start Spring/Summer 23 which will be held form 25 to 27 January, 2022.
