Taipei - Knitting Trade Journal catches up with James Wang, Chairman and CEO of Pai Lung.

Pai Lung began life some 46 years ago as a manufacturer of circular knitting machines and has grown to become one of the world’s largest manufacturers in the industry with customers stretching the across the global knitted fabric market.

Founded in 1977 by the father and two uncles of current chairman and CEO, James Wang, the initial business was the manufacture of circular knitting machines with the company making between 75 and 200 machines per year.

Following university and military service, Mr Wang joined the business in 1985 and since then has been instrumental in evolving the business, both organically and through strategic acquisitions.
