Paris - More than 1,000 exhibitors will have their latest collections on show when Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris opens its doors in July with this summer’s edition featuring a new dedicated yarn pavilion.
Taking place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 1 to 3 July, the Apparel Sourcing and Texworld trade shows, along with Avantex and Leatherworld, will focus on the latest products and solutions for high-performance and sustainable fashion.
Taking things further upstream in the industry and for the first time at the Parisian trade shows, this year’s edition will present a pavilion featuring yarn producers from across Asia. Co-organised with Yarn Expo, the Shanghai-based show from the Messe Frankfurt portfolio, this dedicated pavilion will feature companies from China, India, Pakistan and Taiwan.
As in previous summers, this season’s show will bring together all the different aspects of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris. Leatherworld, the platform dedicated to leather sourcing, will feature the return of a South African pavilion featuring a high-quality range of products. This area will also host a Leather Trends area created and run by Italian publisher Edizioni AF, a specialist in the leather industry.
Particular attention will also be paid to the design processes and choice of materials used by Italian accessories and footwear manufacturers.
This summer’s show will also feature the Econogy sustainability initiative. A nod to the combination of economy and ecology, the cross-fair initiative is as an umbrella service for information, discussion, education and networking formats on all aspects of sustainability within the textile industry. Events will include lectures, information walls, guided tours and discussion forums.
At both Texworld and Apparel Sourcing, Messe Frankfurt will also offer the Econogy Finder, a new feature that will help visitors list and access all suppliers of sustainably produced textiles via an online directory.
