Berlin – Activewear brand Oceans Apart has partnered with Fulgar, the manufacturer of a range of textured and covered yarns for the knitting and hosiery industries, for its new collection.

Q-Nova technology is obtained exclusively from regenerated raw materials using a mechanical rather than chemical process.

It has obtained a series of green certifications, including the Global Recycled Standard and Ecolabel EU. It is also now entered on the Higg Index, an index assessing the environmental impact of a garment’s entire life cycle, developed by the SAC (Sustainable Apparel Coalition).

The regenerated fibre is one of the key “ingredients” in the ultra-soft QA Seamless Solution fabric used to make the Noelle collection by Oceans Apart, which will form part of the “Elevated Essential” drop on sale from August.

As well as generating drastic reductions in the ecological footprint of textile production, this fibre also provides outstanding quality in terms of lightness, softness and breathability.

Seamless, comfortable, glamorous and reflecting the season’ colour trends, the garments in the Noelle capsule are said to be ideal for all dynamic, sporty women seeking a product that can provide high quality, maximum freedom of movement during performance and excellent moisture control.

The launch of this winter collection by Oceans Apart will be accompanied by the ‘Embrace your feelings - Wear your confidence’ campaign.

Amongst other recent developments for Q-Nova’s is the addition of a special ingredient in the polyamide that includes an ID (Identity) traceability system, which makes it possible to verify the authenticity of the yarn’s recycled origins.
