Brescia - The full spectrum of machinery and other equipment for the hosiery and finishing industries will once again be on display when the FIMAST exhibition resumes in Brescia, Italy in 2018.

Scheduled for 30 May to 2 June at the Brixia Forum Fair Center (Fiera di Brescia), FIMAST the International Fair of Textile Machinery and Accessories was launched in 2009 as a successor to the well-respected FAST exhibition.

Covering 3,000 square metres of exhibition space, organisers are again confident that the new exhibition will provide a welcome boost to the hosiery industry. The last edition in 2014 attracted more than 4,700 visitors including 1,300 from abroad.

The show is described as the ideal meeting point for both Italian and overseas professional visitors to discover the latest developments in this fast moving sector.

The exhibition will cover a range of sectors including preparatory machines, yarns and hosiery accessories, circular hosiery knitting machines, linking, sewing and assembly machines, dyeing and finishing machines, packaging machines and accessories, computer equipment, control systems and other services.

The 2018 edition will also include new sections after being expanded to include the whole supply chain of the hosiery and textile industry.

"Our territory represents a highly skilled district, boasting top quality manufacturing companies at a global level," organisers said. "Also during this period distinguished by the economic crisis and a drastic transformation inside the whole industry, Italian manufacturing realities have been able to stand their ground as leaders in international markets.

"The fair represents a chance of “cohesiveness and bond” between all companies and, above all, an incredible possibility to confront each other on several issues such as innovation, research and new opportunities on different markets and development funding."
