{besps}ss/LycraW{/besps}Barcelona - With global spandex production set to soar within the next five years, circular knitting markets in Eastern Europe and Turkey could be prime growth areas for the Lycra brand.

In an exclusive interview with Knitting Trade Journal, Alistair Williamson, European Sales Manager for Invista's Legwear business, said that while Lycra already played a major role in the European hosiery sector, there were several other areas where it was predicted to make an increasingly significant impact over the next few years, which as well as the trousers and suitings market, included the circular knitting sector.
