Carpi - Following on from the success of its show in Segrate, Milan this March, Shima Seiki Italia, the subsidiary of Japanese flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will hold a private exhibition at its Carpi office this month.
The exhibition will be a showcase for the company?s diverse lineup of computerized flat knitting machines covering all aspects of knit manufacturing. Machines from numerous areas of the expansive Shima Seiki portfolio will be on display ranging from the MACH2X series with SlideNeedle mounted on four needlebeds, to the new compact SWG-N2 series WholeGarment knitting machine with capability for industrial textiles.
Also on show will the ultrafine gauge SWG-FIRST series with 21G capability - the finest possible gauge in flat knitting, the MACH2SIR with the highest possible
number of intarsia carriers, the SRY123LP with loop pressers that produce unprecedented knitwear with woven textures, and the new SVR workhorse series which Shima Seiki says ?resets the industry benchmark for shaping machines?.
Demonstrations will also be performed on the company?s highly regarded SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system, software that is at the core of the company?s ?Total Knitting System? concept.
With comprehensive support of all aspects throughout the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.
Especially effective is APEX3?s capability to improve on the planning process with Virtual Sampling. Photo-realistic simulation capability minimizes the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.
The event will take place from 25-27 June 2014 at Shima Seiki Italia, Carpi Office, Via del Commercio N. 9 41012 Carpi (MO), Italy.
